one green tea popsicle please

What would make a sweltering summer afternoon a little bit better?

What's that you say... how can you drink hot green tea in the dead of summer, in that humidity, in the hot hot heat?

Because, when you make some green tea add a little honey and put that hot goodness in a popsicle mold you get a green tea ice pop.
Sadly at my house we only have one surviving popsicle mold from when I was a tot.  So, I only made one. Which was plenty enough for one gal, but when you have a house full of people you must have more.  Just one popsicle is not an option.  This recipe is so simple and easy, perfect for a last minute treat or pick me up.

Green Tea Ice Pop

 Green Tea
Honey/Sugar
Ice Pop Molds

To begin boil some water in a tea pot (or just a pot).  Add your green tea bags (you can determine the strength you want. I would add around three or even four to give it a bit more flavor).  Let the tea steep.  While the tea is still warm add the honey/sugar, I used wildflower honey for mine, yum :)  Next, add the green tea to the molds.  Place the molds in the freezer.

Once your pop is frozen, pull those babies out of the freezer and run cold water over the molds for a second to help them release from the molds easier.

Enjoy!!

going to the chapel of love

Although I'm years away from even thinking of marriage I couldn't resist looking at these way too cute, simplistic, realistic, oh so adorable cake toppers.  I really enjoy the custom creations the artists are willing to do.  To narrow down my findings I have chosen thirteen of my most favorites.

(there are a few of these on Etsy, this is just an example one.  I just enjoy the idea of being able to paint your own that is if your brave enough and have the talent... I think I'll leave mine to the experts)

i'm only a woman of flesh and bone

Today I would like to showcase some ladies that really speak to my heart.
Perhaps it's my deeper instincts that wish I could be cool like these ladies, being able to belt out sorrowful magical uplifting lyrics using my wonderful voice, but in perspective I'm not a singer.  So, to replace my wishful sadness I listen to these women that really can hold a note and sing along at the top of my lungs of course pretending that I too can sing just as pretty.  So here are just a few of the women that have helped me survive even the toughest of situations and all I can say is thank you for inspiring and keeping me sane.
  Jenny Lewis

Check out these wonderful women and all the great music they have to share.  Listen to them with their bands, side projects they participate in, their solo albums, and their collaborations with other artists.  Let them heal your heart or just make your day little better.  I hope your ears enjoy!!

anthropologie has my heart and a little of my wallet too

May I apologize first for being an awful blogger, perhaps I'll actually get the hang of this in another six months.  Other than that lets get to business...

The other day in the mail I received this
yes, the mythical birthday discount and my anthro card!!
And with this discount card in hand I made my first trip to an Anthropologie store.

And may I say... oh man what a dream land of everything I love.  All those times sitting in front of the computer drooling at all the pretty things on the screen and there it was before me.  I could touch them!!
It was great and here is what I purchased...
 Imprinted Egg Palette Caddy
Into The Jungle Trivet

It was wonderful, all I can say is this is one happy happy girl :)
